      Marquez 68 tail lights

Have any of you bought these yet? I was kind of shocked when I saw the price($465). I was hoping they would be around the same price as the 69's. It does look like a lot more work has to go into them though. Do these come with LED lights or do you have to use your old standard bulbs? Thanks, John

They are just the bezels and the lenses. You need to use the other parts from the old taillight housing assemblies or get the LED lights.

They Take a LOT LOT LOT more work to mill out compared to the 69 units and they take a bigger hunk of aluminum from what I saw.

You use your standard bulbs and housings.. combine them with the american autowire lenses and they would rock!

That's an awful lot of money for a cosmetic piece. I'm going to pass at that price. The originals should do just fine.

Man they look nice. Did you see the pics in this thread? https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=18412 They put the new repro bezels I was going to use to shame... Anyone need a pair of the original repro bezels for a standard '68 coupe? I have some to sell... I saw a '68 the other day with painted bezels - they didn't look too bad covered up.

The Marquez ones are expensive, true, but the exclusivity will make them even more unique...

Am I trying to justify to myself yet another car purchase? No comment...

They look really nice, but where's the black paint that supposed to surround the bezel? They don't look right without the black paint. I'm sure you could apply it on yourself if you wanted to.

Tom....send me some pics of your light bezels. I might take them off your hands. [email protected]

That's what I like about the Marquez bezels actually... to each his own I guess.

I can take some pics if you'd like, although they're just the repros that I bought from Classic Industries, in the boxes and everything, unused.

I gotta agree, they look very nice, but something just isn't right to me without the black paint around the lens...

That is true. It takes 1718 passes on a CNC to machine a set.

The are beautiful, but that is waaaay too much coin for me to spend on something that is purely cosmetic. Not to mention in order to have the tail-lights actually WORK BETTER, Id have to spend another wad of cash on the AAW LEDs.

I'll stick with the LEDs and OE bezels.
