need help quick on ls1 brake problem

ok so i am trying to get my frame under my car this weekend while i am home from college and i can not get these ls1 brakes right. i have everything i need and everything that needs to be done has been done as far as machine work and all that stuff. my problem is i can not get the caliper braket to mount to the other special braket b/c it hits my dang steering knuckle.....i think that is what it is called ( the peice the inner tie rod bolts to) this peice is mounted to the spindle.........no matter how i look at it it wont work.....is there any difference is the drum brake knuckle and one for a disc brake. mine is for drums...everything i have came off a drum brake car but i think it was a chevlle so it may be different.....am i right ...it doesnt look like anyone else who has a first gen with disc...i jsut thought it was for a drum brake car and it would work.....help please i am out there right now and in a bind to get this done and the frame under the car by tom...

If your spindles are from a Chevelle, and you have a Camaro - you can't use the steeringarms attached to the spindle! The A-body is frontsteer, while your car is rearsteer. Do you have your stock steeringarms? The spindles themselves should be the same...

Years ago I converted my drum braked Firebird convert to disks. I changed everything because there were detail differences, just don't remember what.
