      another Kiwi :)

Hi all, my name is Phil. I'm originally from New Zealand, but I now reside in Australia. I came across this forum whilst researching the pro-touring scene. One of my cars is an ex-drag car, that i'm putting back to street use. its current theme is pro-street, but I'm now leaning towards pro-touring
      It's a 1973 Ford XB fairmont coupe. currently running a 351c, shift kitted C4 and 9".
here's a pic of the car in its current state: (taken at the local 'All Ford Day')

      and hiding in the garage:

this is the car's last run as a drag car. just after the pic was taken the trans exploded and came through the floor.

when it was raced it had a 460, C6 and 9". When I bought it, it had been sitting for four years. it came less engine/trans/diff, and with a big hole in the floor.... I have since welded in a new floor pan.
it only needs the interior fitted, some wiring finished and a factory bonnet painted and fitted to be registered and driveable. I'll drive it for a while untill the bank account recovers, then get into the bigger brakes, aftermarket suspension, bigger rims etc etc. I also have a 383 stroker kit and a virgin bore cleveland block stashed away ;)
      so thats my baby

heres the other two cars in the monty-household:
this is my wife's daily driver. Its a 1976 Ford XC GXL Fairmont. Its also running a 351c with mods, top-loader gearbox, and a 9". The 351 and 9" are factory fitted, and its a factory 4spd manual car, but it left the factory with a 'single-rail' gearbox. It runs solely on LPG, with a twin LPG throttle-body setup. anyway, heres a couple of pics:

and lastly, my daily driver. nothing special, but it does the job
it's a 1995 Ford EF Fairmont Ghia. Its fitted with the EFI 5.0 HO motor, same as the same era mustangs. it's been slightly modified with GT40P heads, explorer manifold and bigger MAF and TB. backed by a 4spd auto. the rims and lower body kit are factory fitted, and the rear spoiler is an EL GT item. I bought in the same state as in the pics. As it's my daily, it won't be getting any more mods except lowering and larger rims.

      Sorry for the long introduction.....
      cheers,
      Phil
