      Tach mounting ideas?

I just got a new stewart warner 3 3/8" tach and i was just trying to get an idea of how people are mounting there tach's. My preferable spot is on the drivers side dash right next to the pillar. I test fit the tach in the spot, but its a little thick so it needs to hang over the dash a little bit. The part im stumped on is how to mount it , and what style bracket i could use, the tach comes with a round clamp, with a screw in the bottom to tighten it with and also has a little mounting tab on the clamp. I was thinking of using the clamp that it came with and using some style bracket to make it come out as far as it needed, but how do i attach it to the dash (so its clean and not so robinson crusoe looking) just looking for whats been done and what works well, thanks in advance for any advice!

      Brian.
