      AC compressor mounting position

Can I mount the AC compressor (Sanden R134a) with the hose connection on the compressor pointing down? And have the system work properly?

I don’t like seeing the hose connection on the back of the compressor out in the open, with the compressor fittings pointing down it not quit as visible.

      Thanks in advance

You cannot rotate the compressor more than 90deg. from vertical (fill plug on top is vertical). You can, however, get a rear discharge head to replace the one you have. Also, be sure to keep the lines far away from the headers. Even if they arent close enough to burn, the heat will affect your A/C performance.
