      Baer Tracker Tie-Rods??

Has anyone ever heard anything about these tie rods? im possibly looking to get them but would like to have more "personal" input from people. i can call baer all day long and they are not going to tell me their product sucks. so hopefully i can get some opinions in here on them.

to make it easier here is the link for them to read:Baer Brake Systems

What exactly do you want to know? They do work as suggested, and allow you to adjust the tie-rod pivot height to help minimise bump steer.

IMO they are a little expensive for what ya get, but they do work. Thing is YOU have to take the time, play with the adjustment, and see what effects it has on the bump steer.

They work fine. Good design, good parts. The only other thing I would add would be heim joint/rod end seals from 'Seals-it'.

You can however, make up your own kit for the same it not even less than what they are going to get from you for their kit.

You are going to need a 'bump steer' guage to really net the improvements from using them. Longacre makes an excellent guage for this that you can find on the web for about $175 ish.

Any need for them when combined with the ATS spindle?

They work okay but you have to realize they`re basically race pieces. The heims aren`t going to hold up as long as conventional tie rod ends on a street car where they`re exposed to dirt and water etc. We`ve used them a number of times over the years before we had better products to use and they get the job done. Heck we`re a Baer dealer, I`ll sell them if somebody really wants them. But, I think there are better choices these days.
We have modular tie rod ends with grease fittings that are O ring/poly boot sealed that allow the same type of adjustment but that will outlast stock tie rod ends even under the harshest conditions. Why compromise? The are several versions,we have an early Camaro tall tie rod end made exclusively for SC&C that corrects the factory bumpsteer There`s another version that used a 3" tall 5/8x16 threaded stud with jam nut that allows fine tuning the bumpsteer without any spacers, just drill and tap the steering arm holes, install, set and lock them down. If you want some bling they`re even available in polished nickel. Mark SC&C
