      LQ9 Options

There arent a lot of LSx engines going cheap in the UK, and when I found an LQ9 on ebay for not a lot of money I bought it. I've got 3 LT1's, and now I've got an LQ9 that I cant swap stuff into

Right so what year auto gearboxes can I use on this? I have a '95 4L60E sat spare, along with a 4L80E. Can you only use the late split bellhousing ones with these? I was planning on running a factory PCM, but open to suggestions.

Yes, you can bolt up the trans to your ls1, but one belhousing bolt will not be used, so only 5 will be holding the trans on. No big deal. I have almost 1000 hp and mine is still holding on strong! You can use any auto gear box.

Any year trans will bolt up, but the flexplates and torque converters are all different.
I was under the impression that the 98-up 4L60E was the only one that would work with the factory LS1 PCM. I may be wrong though. I know you can bolt up any older non computer controlled trans, like a 700R4, TH350, TH400, P-Glide, by using 5 of the 6 mounting holes, and using the correct flexplate.,

I realised they would all fit physically, it was if I could use a stock PCM and one of the boxes I already had?
