      Newbie

Just stopping by to introduce myself. New (to me) 67 chevelle SS clone with 454 BB/400turbo 4.10 combo running on 15" Rallys. I'm looking to start the transiformatin to PT car. First is wheels, then suspension (could be getting out of order already?), brakes, then 6/5 speed trans as the budget allows.

First question: 89 Vette 17" rims (I like how they look next to the car) Worth powdercoating and buying adapters to make 17" wheels work on the cheep??

      Thanks in advance

      Welcome aboard (what's your name?).

Adapters aren't such a good idea if you're planning on .. spirited driving. Do a search in the Wheels and Tires forum for better details than that.

Adapters....right. The Chevelle isn't (and never will be) a roadcourse terror. According to my wife, I have enough $ in motorcycles and guitars to necessitate a PT type car being built slowly and on on the cheap...

      thanks
