      AWW Crap

went to the track last night and blew my motor on the 1st run. 1/2 way through the run it started making a horrible valve train noise and oil pressure dropped shortly after that i shut her down and put it on a trailler. pulled it today and started tearing it down. found out that the roller lifters that are on the #7 cylinder came apart and ground the lobes of the cam on that cylinder, sending metal flakes through the motor. luckaly the cylinder bores look good, no scars or anything like that. hopefully it is salvageable. just gives me an excuse to put in a larger cam and probally a solid roller. it wasnt even a good run, 14.2@94

since i need to rebuild it i might just put in a 400 thats under my bench. I think that would be better suited for drag racing, and going fast. Plus that way if im out somewhere and something happens to me(drink too much) and i cant drive home anyone can, so im thinking about selling my TKO 600 thats on my 396, 1300 miles with flywheel, clutch and pressure plates, lakewood scattersheild. shifter, etc. so if anyone is interested let me know.

Great, two days after I buy a T56....

Let me know the specs on the camshaft you want. I have a brand new one, never installed, solid roller. I ended up using a hyd. instead.
