      Somthings wrong ... need help

I was getting the camaro ready for the drags tonight and when I started it up I heard what sounded like a metallic ratteling commin from somewhere around the valve covers/ bottom end... I am having a hard time isolating the sound.. it is rpm sensitive if I wrap it picks up speed... it sounds kind of like a vibration... my gut feeling is that it is not internal but maby a loose conection somewhere.. It is not a deep thump like a rod knock but a higher pitched almost like an air cleaner that is not secured right... I pulled the valve cover and watched the pass side no problems and i pulled the air cleaner... no problems... ALso it seems that if I put it in gear the sound goes away??? ANy Ideas?? should I be worried ???
