      help please

okay I just ordered a set of bonspeed huntingtons for my 67 camaro that has been lowered 2" all the way around. I checked everything last night, but now I am second guessing myself. The tires are 215/45/17 for the front and 255/50/17 for the rear.

I ordered 17x8's with 4.75 backspacing for all 4 conrners. Did I screw up? I am afraid that might be to much backspacing for the fronts.

Please help, there may still be time to change if I need to.

call them and tell them to put the wheels on hold until you know for sure....they shoudn't care if they have the $$$ already!

Mc,Ive had 17x8 ttII with 4.75 bs on the ft of my 72 nova with no inner fender rubbing.I think the sub frame, stock control arms and inner fenders are about the same an a 67 camaro.I currently have 17x9.5 with 6.375 bs with a 1/4 to 5/16 spacer with dse arms, unisteer rack with shorter than stock steering arms.At full lock the wheel barley touches the upper control arm,i just made some adjustable steering stops to fix this prob.I lost very little turning radius.
      Hope this helps, Later,Frank

Please describe the steering stops you made, and pics too! I may need to do this at some point. Thanks,

      deltas on mine

I've got 17x8 Bonspeed Deltas on my 67 Camaro. I'll have to check
the backspacing on the receipt. I believe they're exactly what
detroit speed says will work on their website. PM me if you still need me to check the exact backspacing.

I have done alot of research on this and everyone seems to be running a 4.5bs on the front of 67,68 camaros. You could just buy a 1\4 spacer to push them back out.

Jeff,The dse lower arms have raised pads for steering stops.I just drilled and taped some holes in the pads.Srewed some bolts in with nuts on them to lock them down and adjusted them to the length i wanted.I hope this make sense.

4 3/4" should be fine with the tires being used. not too wide

I agree. Those wheels shouldn't be a problem. I know some guys run that up front with 245/45's up front on '69 Camaros, so it should be just fine on your car with 215's.
