No, later on in the eBay ad it kicks into an ad for the new body shells and it says:
I believe the last conversation here at p-t.com about the new shells had the price closer to 10k though.You can email us your name to be put on the list to be one of the first to get this new body shell. The introductory price for this shell is estimated to be about $4995 (may be a little higher)

Last I head they were going to be closer to 12k.

The ebay article says that the parts have to be assembled. The last I heard the body shell was going to be one piece (this months hot rod). Maybe that is the difference in price. That may also be what they are doing to get around the vin issue. Pieces don't qualify as a car. However there will still be a issue when you go to get a title unless you are "repairing" an existing car. I hate to see that become the practice as it will lead to fraud and lord knows what else.

I received an email from them today (I had them put me on their mailing list maybe 6 months ago, 1st one from them yet) stating that they were sorry, but the new price is 10,000 plus a 500 crate fee.
