      Vacuum Pumps

I got 12 inch wilwood all around. With world 427 im going to need more vacuum to power the brakes. I see the pumps for like 300 bucks but im not sure if there is a better way to get the brakes to perform. Should i try the junkyard or just fork up the cash. im looking for 16-18 in.

1969 Camaro SS aka Jumpin Jack Flash

World All Aluminum 427 and tko-600 attached to that

I have had similar issues with my 69 & 67 camaro. I have elec vacume pumps on both of these cars, and had one on my 68 also.
The pump on the 67 is smaller and the noise is hardly noticeable. I have the same pump on the 69 that I had on the 68, and I am now on pump #3. Noisy as all get out, and then it takes a crap. They are the same pump sold by summit and ss brakes. Not something I would recommend.
If I keep the car, I'm thinking of going to something like the hydroboost unit. If it's a track car you probably won't notice the noise, but if you spend much time on the street it drives you nuts!
