I was there way back in 1987 so the track was not open yet. It's the closest track to where I live now I am 125 miles from it. I had never heard of it before. I think I may take a run down to check it out this summer. Thanks for the info. Steve

I just saw this post and thought it was kinda funny, I was just flipping through car mags yesterday and was telling the wife it seems like every car has a "name" now. Must be a new trend!

Stinger sounds good to me. Any name with "bee" in it sounds like a Mopar.

As far as the trans. Are you sure you want a 6 speed? You will be hard pressed to be able to shift as fast as that motor will go. I know mine with a th400, is getting upshifted at a seriously fast rate!

I still like Stinger, but there's also using "bee" in the name like:

      BeeWare
      BeeCause
      Bee-N-Bad

      Something "bee" ish...

LOL, Yeah scott, it does seem every car has a name now days. I thought it would be fun to see why people would come up with.
As far as the trans go..... I want a car that feels like a real muscle car! Im not really trying to go into the 9's here. I like the idea of a 10 sec car, that cruses down the highway at 1500rpm at 70mph. The motor is gonna be built, for as much torque as possibile, from 1200 - 6000 rpm.
Oh, BTW, where did you mount your coils? Got any pics?
      Thanks - Ron

Im with the other guys stinger sounds like a mopar, I say go with some thing that went with the time line the car was built.like /yellow car=cheese =big block=Rat trap II, Make an updated version of an old stlye car.instead of the grey torque thrust go with the new style cragars in 17". what other thing where popular in the 70s. just use updated versions of vintage speed equipment or at least give that impression.

Ultimitaly, pick whatever name YOU want. regardless of what everyone else says. Nobody seems to like my white chevelle or my 17" centerlines, or this, or that. BUT I am happy with it.

I mounted my coils on special brackets I made for them on my crossmember below the motor. Unfortunatly, I do not have any pics of them, I would have to crawl underneath and snap som. Maybe next time I have the car in the air!
