      old bird

      Gents,
Attached you should find pics of my 67 Firebird convertible. It is my first car – back in ’87 or so. It has a 400 Pontiac engine, turbo 350 tranny and a Pontiac 10 bolt (3.55s). Engine has a manifold, headers and a too-small cam.
A business trip to South-West Asia bought the 12in Brea disks all around.
Plans are for a TKO-500 or 600. A 69 T/A hood, some body mods and a significant bit of body repair, and , and …
      Any comments?

      Blackbird,

Let me be the first to say sweet ride. You don't see very many nice 67-69 Firebirds hardtops, let alone convertibles. Keep us posted with your progress.

      '68,
yes you are right - that WAS a Hayabusa in my garage, but it went for sale to a guy from New Jersey. It was pretty impressive. The highest performance vehicle I'll ever have.

-to the rest, thanks for the kind words, I'll keep posting as I fix her up.

You should get rid of that peice of crap! I'll haul it away for you and even give you some dough! LOL Nice bird! As I told another guy in here, if I ever get rid of my vette, I'll get another bird. What an agressive looking car! I'm sure you gets lots of attention in it.

      Another bird

Sharp car. BTW, here is a 67 ragtop Firebird with the T/A hood.

I have a TKO-600 in my bird, love it on the street. It makes for some interesting trips down the track too. Much better gears for the torque of a 455 vs the ealier TKO (which I had). You can see some pictures of it on my cheapy homepage.

Hey convertible guys! Both of you have beautiful cars. I never thought of a T/A hood. What did you guys do about subframe connectors?
