      wing window removal

Ok whats the best way to go to remove the wing window? Thay say the weather strip will pinch the glass if you dont shave the 1/8 inch where the wing winow sits. So do I shave that and replace regulators and other parts, or do I just get a 68 door and install? What kind of mod do I do with the hinges? Another thought was just to reskin with 68 sheet metal. Please help

Although I am diametrically opposed to removing such an identifying feature of a 1967 Camaro, go search over at http://www.camaros.net/forums/index.php? Maybe it has been addressed there.

The 68 door will be easier in the long run and look better. The inner door panel is also different on a 68. It sounds like more work but it really isn't. You should be able to get enough money out of selling the 67 doors to get 68 doors.

Well I thought I would post my findings on this subject. I found out that it aint gonna happen. Way to much fab work for me to do, and the reason why is that I looked at a 68 door last night, and the doors are completly different, the inner door where the regulator mounts and the hinges are different. I tried to find a power window conversion that would work. Autoloc and Electric-life are the 2 manufactures that I talked to and thay had nothing that would work. I was looking for a easy way to do this, and like i said it aint gonna happen.
