      Drag Link Steering Stabilizer?

I've done some simple suspension upgrades on my current fullsize project and had a question about the following:

I'm about to haul an '82 Fleetwood to the junkyard, but was wondering if I should snag the drag link setup (w/steering stabilizer) it's got for my DeVille mentioned above. Aside from a different gear box, I hadn't considered any other mods for steering.

I've done some reading about steering stabilizers, but mostly found info about trucks using them for big tires (keeping the wheel from jerking around). I basically am wanting to know if adding this will result in a good, bad, or indifferent outcome - frankly I can't see much benefit but would respect any second opinions!

My thought is, if you hit a huge one wheel bump, the stabilizer may take most of the jerk out of it. It might take some wiggle feedback out of the steering wheel, but I've got no experience or special knowledge of them, it's just a guess.

Yeah, that's about all I can see as a benefit (non-issue really)... unless I get the urge to run 40" tires and haul a-- on rutted freeways and rocky roads I guess I should have known there were no 'hidden performance' gains... but - you never know.

i could see if you for some reason didnt want alot of caster in your suspension it would help stabalize things. I know they are nice on motorcycles but thats a whole different animal
