Hi! Building a Pro Touring Chevelle

Hi ! Im from a small town in SW Wisconsin. Ive done bodywork since I was 16. And also hanged out in a michine shop since I was 14.(now a foreman on a directional drill) Im always looking to learn new stuff. (automotive) My current project is a 70 SS Chevelle (clone). Right now the frame is on jack stands, and I have the engine/trans "mocked up" in the chassis.

The motor is a LQ4 6.0L (for the iron block) with 26k on it. This will be a twin turbo motor when Im done. I will be running 2 60-1 turbos. This is also my first boosted and fuel injected motor. I currently have a LS6 intake. A Canton custom 6qt. oil pan. Street & Performance front drive system. Turbos will be comming next!

The trans Im running is a Viper T56 six speed. Its mounted to a McLeod bellhousing.

The frame is "tube in" with 2 1/2" 1/8" thick tubbing.

This is my first Pro Touring car, so Im looking for all the info I can get! So, if anyone has a Chevelle out there (or an A body) give me a shout!
      Pics comming soon!

      Thank - Ron

Sounds like you are heading in the right direction. Great to have more A-bodies around. Just ask when you get ready for suspension/brake advise. I have just finished a similar build so I can give you a few tips myself. S&P is a great source. Are they programming your computer? Mark and crew were a great help on my car.
Let us know if we can help.

Nice car. I had a 71 when I was in high school. Shouldn't have crashed it......
