      Tire Clearance

Was looking for some information about minimum tire to rear quarter lip clearance. Will be running a 3 link with a PHB and want minimum clearance without rubbing. Any thoughts 1/2", 1" etc.?

I'd say atleast a 1/2". My challenger has 3/4" clearence on each side. And I run 335's out back. It's alway's better too be safe then sorry and ruin a pair of expensive tire's.

My Elco runs about 1/4", worries me sometimes when I hit dips during high speed cornering. I always wonder if today is the day it cuts down a tire, I would shoot for 1/2" or better if possible. A 3-link/PHB set up is pretty solid, but that axle IS going to move no matter what you do, especially with the PHB.

DSE told me 1/2" is what they shoot for as a min....so this is what I went with as well.

Looks like I'll be using 1/2". Thanks for the replies.
