      LS1 or Aftermarket

      well the thing i love about the ls1 is its reliablility, drivability and it is so efficiant making power. can i get this from any aftermarket EFI system. it will be for a big cube pontiac engine.

      i would also like a system that i can tune to get all the power out of the engine.

      You won't beat GM at the driveability game, no matter what aftermarket system you run. A good tuner, even yourself, can probably get it where it drives just fine, but there's no way you'll match a factory built, mass produced engine. Power-wise, you can probably beat the LS1 in its stock form with the big cubes, but I think the LSx prices have come down to the point that you'd really be doing yourself a favor putting one in. As to your second post, you'll be able to tune whatever you get for max power.
