first gen dash mods and cust. console
I just bailed in with both feet and started moding my dash and biulding a custom console to blend with the dash I hope it all turns out kool. I guess it will have to since I am past the point of no return. here is a link to an album at photobucket with the mods. The top hole will have a billet a/c vent the next hole down will be stereo then it will blend into the console which will be painted to match the car and will have the vintage air controles and the four guages from autometer the the t56 shifter a coin/junk trey then the console compartment with the cut-out for the e-brake handle.
take a look and then tell me if you think I am crazy or if it might work.
Oh btw I hate stock anything.

03-10-2006 #2Now that's an undertaking. I have pondered doing something like that myself... I keep hoping someone else will develop a cool drop in unit that'll save me the hassle. I'll be interesed in seeing the finished product! You might trim the top of that glove box down a bit... it looks from the pictures like you might smack your wrist on it during some nasty 1-2 shifting adventures.

I know it does look awfull tall but we mocked it up in the car and slam shifted and it seem ok it is just tall enough to cover the ebrake but we ar going back in with it for a final fitting soon.
