I've got an optima battery question for ya! An ederly nieghbor of mine has a van that sits for 6 months on end before she drives it. I always have to give her red top a quick one hour charge on 'high' and it fires right up. The other day I charged it for an hour on high, but I can't get the battery to hold more than 7.5v. I've even tried a 2 amp trickle charge several times for maybe 4 hours each time, while charging it will go up to 11.3v, but after I turn the charger off it goes back to 7.5v. I have a hard time believing that battery just went bad, when it probably only has a couple thousand miles on it. Whats the trick to getting a charge back into it? Thanks
