      powder coating?

Im wanting something a little different on my motor its a 85 tpi motor. will powder coating hold up on the manifold and plenum and runners? I want what I would call an industrial look.I don't want the cast aluminum or chrome plated. I was thinking like black chrome or ? any suggestions.

i think that would be cool but you would need something else done like headers or valve covers. and the powder coating should hold up to the heat from the engine the runners and plenum dont get very hot.

Regular powder will hold up on any surface that doesn't reach 400 degrees. (engine block, valve covers, oil pan, intake, etc.) Headers need a high temp powder.
The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

Yea, I know quite a few people that have had their LSx blocks powder coated.. but it's expensive due to all the masking that has to be done. Heads are even more expensive.

There are some cool colors that would really look trick..
