12 bolt
does anyone know if a 12 bolt out of a 80 chev pickup will work under my 69 camaro? what is involved and is it worth the effort? the diff was a freebie!!!

I think the ring gear might be bigger

A 12bolt truck diff is weaker than the passenger car diff. The pinion shaft diameter is equal to the 8.2 diff which doesnt live too long in a chassis that is driven.... well..... like it should be.
Ring gear isnt any bigger, the pinion shaft is just smaller.
