      New Guy

Hi guys Im new to the forum. Ive got a 1997 GMC Sonoma thats been lowered 2/3. Its got a Goodmark Cowl hood and east coast customs rollpan, 20" Eagle 221 wheels. I just purchased an Lt1 and tranny out of a 95 transam. Hopefully I can build it up not a whole lot just cam heads headers intake that kind of thing. I know that theres not many trucks on here especially minis but hopefully I will be accepted anyway. Great site and thanks for the comments.

      Hey Neil,
Welcome to the club. Trucks are okay if you like that sorta thing...

and I do... but, around these boards, you won't get any respect unless you are building an Astro...

Of course that is just my opinion...

Its a 95 regular cab. My plan is to drop a V8 in it and make me my own little nascar racer for the street.

      Welcome

Trucks are cool! Take a look at Marty's build under Project updates- I think the thread is listed under "New guy latest pics-" I guess I would have to say the brakes are pretty cool too.

Looks good, Lo97... is the tranny 4L60E or T56? Any other drivetain plans? I think I'd consider a late model clip myself, but quite nice as is

Its 4L60E. The truck is automatic now so its just better to leave it automatic but i think Im going to put in a B and M shift kit in it. Also trying to find a 3.73 posi to go in and a rear disk setup. For the late model clip I'm not going that route cause I want to be a little different but I am in the process of fabing up an Envoy front bumper that I got from GM. Thanks for the comments.
