      front too high

i installed DSE drop leafs and now that i have hung the front sheetmetal the front end is too high. i was thinking about cutting down the coil to get a little lower. is this a bad idea, or is it safe. main reason im thinking about this is because its free and i could use the money wiser elsewhere.

Yes cutting the spring will be ok. Just cut a little at a time with a cut off wheel not a torch.

Are they the original front coils? The reason I ask is if they are new will settle after about 100-200 miles. Otherwise you will be fine cutting the coils.
