Rear end vent??
on my 88 monte carlo ss..with the 7.5 10 bolt...does the vent come out?? it is definatelly leaking fron that area...and i need to change the fluid anyways so im wondering if i could take out the vent/filter peice and clean it. any ideas??

cool...does it just pop out...or is it bolted down? ive never really looked at it up close.

I know on my 12 bolt, it was a press fit. (hands, not tools. well,maybe a small hammer.) I couldn't see GM changing that part of the design. Also, if you are going to remove it to clean it, why not just replace it. Thet are less than 10 bucks, and it might still be available at the dealer.
The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.
