      Mercedes Grade Carpet?

Anyone know where I can get carpet for my chevelle, but I would like to find something with a luxury car grade, I don't know what you call it, but its the real fine dense soft carpet. Any ideas are always greatly appreciated. Thanks Chris

are you wanting a loop carpet or a cut pile? loop is factory for chevelles, but i think a nice cut pile would look really good. if you want a nice soft carpet you want to look for a wool carpet. i am guessing you are wanting a dirrect fit, correct? if so then you might have a little trouble there. you might have to have one made.

      good luck,
      joe

You can also try http://www.trimparts.com. They offer custom molded carpet for your car, in both the loop and wool.

In our company demo car we are using all Wilton Wool. The transmission hump, back seat lip, door sill lip, firewall will all be covered in the unbacked so it will bend and contour well. The actual floor will be made up of four removable pieces of the backed and bound on the edges, just like the european cars.

Mercedes, BMW, Lexus all use a Wilton Wool carpet. There are 2 different kinds of Wilton, one is finer then the other.

Porsche uses a different style in most cars that almost looks like fur called Sliverknit

We keep most in stock, down side is they are only around 36" wide.

Newport also has some amazing vinyl that looks and feels like leather at a fraction of the cost, and no it's not your typical "Pleather".....
