CNC Machine Tool Marks

I have a set of Brodix Track 1 CNC heads. I want to have the chambers, exhaust ports, and valve faces coated at SwainTech with their high temp insulating ceramic coating.



Is it SOP to remove the CNC tool marks from your heads before you run them? You can see faint lines throughout the chambers, and ports where the tool moved. The surfaces FEEL very smoothe, but you can barely feel the tooling marks.

I was considering smoothing them out with a flapper wheel, or some such abrasive device. Is it worth the time/effort to do so? I don't imagine that the coating will fill the voids, or know if it will make a difference in adhesion.

I Think Swain will media blast it where it will be coated anyway.

Tech line coatings need to be blasted first and that is what Im basing my answer on.

CNC'd Heads look rough for a reason. The roughness or tool marks causes the fuel to disperse more evenly? If that makes since? And it cause's the air to tumble in, which helps keep the air cooler.
