      Need input on shocks?

What shocks do you guys recommend? The car will be on the street most of the time, occasionally I plan to hit a road course or two.

I imagine Koni & QA1s are going to be mentioned most. But they cost too much for me. I was thinking Bilsteins. Any other recommendations?

      Thanks,
      Scot

My vote goes for bilsteins. I have had carerra, kyb and now bilsteins, in my mind the first two did not even come close. However, the bilsteins cost more then both the kyb and the carrera combined, and then some.

Do not buy KYB's. They are exactly what they are sold as, CHEAP GAS SHOCKS! Lot's of compression and little to no rebound. Expect to spend $70-$80 each for Bilsteins or the Eldebrocks as they are both decent street shocks.

If you "unwilling" to spend that amount of money for a decent steet shock then just go buy $20 Monroematics as you get what you pay for. Before I compromised, I would wait, save my money and buy a better adjustable shock such as a QA1, Koni or Afco. Double adjustable is better if you can spend the big jack for a "real" shock abosorber. The difference will AMAZE you!!!!
