72 Nova Disc brake Question

I currently have factory style disc brakes on my 72 Nova and am looking at swapping the 93-97 rear camaro disc brakes onto the Nova. From what I have read, when using the rear set up with the C4 front discs, a manual MC from a 1988 S-10 is needed. My question is: do I need to swap out my Nova MC for the S-10 in order for the factory discs and 93-97 rear Camaro discs to work properly? Will this set up even work properly? I plan on swapping the front out in the future for a Touring Classics C5 kit.
