If you would like to include a picture in your signature, that is fine. However, the picture may not be larger than 1" tall by 4" wide. This is done as a common courtesy to members, and also to help dial up users with load times.

      Thanks for your cooperation.

What does that make in pixels? 1" can be alot different in size depending on what screen resolution you are using...

preferrably the smallest possible. I was going to just post a pixel size, but like you said on a super low res pic, the pixels can be small for a big pic.

In terms of pixels, try and keep it around 75x250 pixels. Keep in mind the 1x4" rule though. Thanks!

Screen resolution is typically 72 dpi so I would keep it under 72x288

Ok guys, how do I change the size of my pic for the Avatar? I have edited it after I copied it to another place on my computer, but it is still showing it at around 133kb.
I am very computer stoopid, help!
      Thanks
      Jimmy

      Jimmy,

Post your avatar in the forum requests and feedback section and someone will definitely be able to size it down for you.

      Matt,

Your sig pic is too big. If you could please resize it to 75x250 pixels, it would be greatly appreciated.

      protouring70,

I'd make an avatar for you, but the truth is I didn't make mine. Someone on another board made it, I think they made it using photoshop, but I'm not 100% on that. Please keep your sig picture to 75x250 pixels. Thanks!

Post up in the multimedia section and maybe one of the photoshop gurus can make you a cool avatar.
