      Serious brake tech

      Dig it ya'all.

      http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/te...e_papers.shtml

If it isn't heavy enough for this forum feel free to move it to "safety" or "brakes".

I'll second that, very good for anyone trying to build their own system or even for a refresh for those of us who think we know what we're doing lol

Moved it to brakes - not because it wasn't technical enough for the heavy tech forum, but because a) some folks don't read that forum as it's above them (but this is good stuff to know) and b) because it wasn't really a discussion.

      Perrrty nice info

Good info, But my know it all azz has to tell u a couple changes.

#1 Suck out all of the old fluid from the master FIRST and refresh with clean fluid

Instruct the assistant to "apply." The assistant should< (pump the brake pedal three times)<, hold the pedal down firmly, and respond with "applied." Instruct the assistant not to release the brakes until told to do so.

#2 Pumping the brakes does nothing but airate the fluid.
Dont do it. have the assistant press the pedal and hold, open bleeder screw, close screw, have assistant relese pedal.

      Gl Ken F

AND DO IT SLOWLEY as not to airate the fluid
