I'm currently building a 57 chevy truck with brand new C6 corvette suspension. I 'm using and 6 spd and diff from a 99 C5. The engine is a 575 horse Ls1 with Kinsler injection. The truck has a ride height of 4" in the front and 5' in the rear and is waiting for the 20's and 22's from budnik which will be the Muroc II wheels. Everything is tucked up in the chassis nothing hangs below what would be the stock rail that we have made in 1.5" tubing. The truck has a trans tunnel. Here is a link to a gallery

when they both are done we should get our trucks together...they would make beautiful children. take more pictures, it looks great but Im sure theres more progress to be seen. I too am doing a trans tunnel on mine, except mine has a duramax diesel. 20" wheels dont look that big on these trucks so that should be awesome. Maybe we will have to switch to smaller wheels and sticky tires for the track. Keep up the good work...I will try to catch up to you here pretty soon.

Well the reason I went with a small back window truck was 1) everyone in california has a big back window it seems, I had 3 in my shop 6 months ago 2) I have had this truck for 10 years. This is the truck that got me started in business 5 years ago. My plan for the back window was to make the window bigger to like a 2/3's window. Maybe extend the window down about an inch and out on each side like 4-6 inches. Maybe make the window as wide as the inside of the bed 48"

I will keep you guys up dated on the project. We should have the cab back on the truck next week and we should have the custom bed sides done soon. So we can start fabbing up the bed structure. The wheels are about 3-4 more weeks out. Sorry if the 20' and 22"s are offensive but this thing looks great with that size mocked up. The height is 26's and 29's so running some smaller wheels at the track should be easy. I put 285/35/22's in the back.

Good looking cars Rodger. I see that you are working on a 65 Chevelle as well. What are the plans for that? I also really dig the 31 Model A. By the way, I run 18's and 20's, so preach on brother.

I'm cool with the wheels..I put 20's and 19's on the Cuda. You'd thought I raped a wife or two. I'll change them when we compete but no one has shown me a tire wheel combo that will look as good and have a decent speed rating in a smaller diameter rim for the street. Plus with the big boy brakes, I'll have clearance problems if I go too small

that will help to increase the size of the window..they need more glass than the small window..sounds like a good plan..just a lot of work and expense..it'll be different though..
