      62 shicayne wheels

im in the process of building the original rending of the shicayne done by Mike Desmond. Ive changed a couple of things but the over all concept will be the same. Now to my question is about the wheels.has anyone seen any wheels that look even close to the rendering? the centers look like they are a brushed or satin finish w/a polished lip. budnik gasser are as close as I can find. any help would be great. by the way the only things Ive changed is removing the top. making it a roadster.www.madmachines.com

the demond wheels are 8 spoke, no one makes the one's he drew. Back in the day i was actually in talks with his brother about making a wheel line from this and a few other of his designs.)

      but Forgline has this wheel

      and this one

both are awesome, (i like the six spoker better)

But the closest you are gonna get to the "spirit" of the design, the spoke count, the shape of the spokes, the depth, and the center area. is this one.

      the HRE 440 R

      what they look like on.

      and then the 648 R

      See HRE's full line here

Note that the forgline ones are available in 5 lug patterns.

Oh. And don't think you can get away with out posting pics of said "real shicayne" I must see them. The car not being built the way mike saw it has been bugging me forever. This'll be try 3 after troys car and the Greening one.

So I'm real excited about your project. I hope you pull it off well. Good luck.
