      What would these cams do?

      Looking at these two cams.

It will be for a 400 pontiac with edelbrock heads, rpm intake, headers, 9.5:1 cmp. Street car, weekend cruizer. 5 speed. A bit of a lope or rough idle would be fine, don't want it to sound wimpy!

      Cam 1
      Basically, RA IV cam

      Lobe sep. 113 duration 304/316

      Duration @ .050" 231/240 lift .470/.470

      Cam 2

      lobe 110 duration 302/302

      @.050 242/242 lift .507/.507

      Both are hyd. flat tappet.

cam 2 will sound better with the tighter lobe sep and be more perf with the higher lift.cam 1 will sound ok with the duration but the wide centerline will cause it sound weaker.

Thats what I was thinking. Do you think there would be much difference in terms of performance?
