69 Camaro Dash Clock section delete on DSE Dash

Has anyone deleted this center section on a DSE dash and had a dash pad made that eliminated the center pop out? Essentially one large rectangle instead of this center section that drops down and eats up 3/4 of an inch of dash space?

see my pics for an example. Please point me to car or dash that had this done.

      thx!

Probably not the detail you want. We just smoothed that section out on the DSE part. Dash pad is just a standard reproduction and the upholstery shop was in charge of smoothing it out and wrapping it in leather.

I tried a nova dash pad and did not like it.

You could also just modify the bump out just enough to clear you AIM display and leave the rest of it there and still run a stock dash pad.

Perfect! That is exactly what I was looking for. Cheers!
