Hey there. My name is Chris. Just joined and hoping to find some good info especially in the wheel, tire, and suspension area. I have a 70 Chevelle SS (in pieces). It started as a 396. I have a 454 block at a machine shop and going the 496 route. I also have a frame getting a Helwig kit and the rear section shaved for a mini tub kit. Plan is sort of a hybrid between a traditional muscle car and touring. Other things I'm planning is UMI suspension and 4 wheel disc brakes. I want bring the wheels up to 17" for some better handling but have a pretty meaty tire on the rear. I love the look of the original SS wheels so I need to find a 17' version. Thanks for reading!

I guess I should also mention that my other toy is a 2001 TransAm WS6 convertible. I bought that one new and it's basically stock. Hopefully I won't be too broke from the Chevelle build to finally give the TA some upgrades too.

      Welcome to the site.

Fire up a build thread in the project section some time. We would love to see it and follow along.
