Koni, with all of the spring rates available and preferences for handling, the adjustability is needed.

To get the Bilstiens done right you have to buy them from a retailer, than send them back to Bilstien with your spring specs and some $$
Nice option for an open track or auto-x car
For street the Edelbrock shocks are really nice. Firm without beating your teeth out

What rear springs do you have? If you have Hotchkis buy the Bilsteins from them as they are already valved for the application.

I had kybs, it felt like someone had welded my suspension solid.

The qa1 12 way adjustables are on my car now, I really like them. I set them pretty soft and then slowed them down a click at a time, I have to check but it works well on the street at 4 clicks in front and 5 clicks rear.

Try and match your shocks to your spring rate, dont use shocks to stiffen your suspension. They are just dampers to control the springs. I know thats basic info but a lot of people forget it.

Unless of course they are beaten by a set of properly valved Konis. The guy at Koni (name escapes me right now) is a genius, he'll get you set up.

      Pardon the Hi-jack LOL

I have a set of brand new Bilsteins, (rears in boxes, fronts bolted on driven about 50 miles and taken off, no boxes)

I'll sell em for $225 shipped, they go for about $300 on ebay

(for a 68 Camaro, multi-leaf rears.) 92106 zip, and PM if you're intersted

That is because they don't exist. Koni does have some adjustment on their shocks of this era, but its not real time. You have to remove the shock from the car, collapse it completely, and rotate it.
The adjustment is there PURELY to compensate for the shocks getting softer with age, not for tuning.
Koni does not have enough rebound dampening, the cars will actully sink lower to the ground as they go over multiple bumps.

I have used both and properly valved Bilstiens are better

      Just a hint:

The word is "damping" not "dampening".

If you "damp" something you impede it's free movement.
If you "dampen" something you get it wet.

...and if the car got lower after repeated high freq bumps it would be due to an excessive amount of rebound damping. The common term for this is "packing up" and it is caused by the rebound damping not allowing the spring to extend the suspension before the next bump force is encountered.
