Newest great battery options?

Are there any new-tech or new-brand batteries to consider these days? I get the feeling that optima has fallen off some. I like Odyssey AGM and hear good things about XS Power. But then there’s lighter lithium ions that may be options. What’s your go-to these days?
I’m leaning towards an Oddysey PC. Is there a similar battery that’s significantly lighter or smaller or with superior technology?

I have optima red top batteries in both of my cars. They are a few years old and have had zero issues. I have had about six of them over the years, and only one went bad after year two. It is more my fault for not having it on a trickle charger over the winter.

Odyssey Extreme is a phenominal battery. I run duralast platinum, mostly because if I am on the road and need it replaced through warranty they are pretty easy to come by. These cars sit without running if your in the north so you need a good battery. There are super light batteries available but I don't recommend them. If you are going to do trips and longer cruises, it's just not workth the weight savings for the piece of mind. If it's an all out race car, then sure, it makes sense. But if it's a pro-tourning car, I'd go full size AGM battery like the ones listed above.

My first one lasted 9 years in my Cutlass. I put it on a battery tender over the winter, and no special treatment the rest of the year. I ordered the same one two years ago and it's been fine as well. Only about 25 lbs.

Thanks guys. Odyssey has been top of my list from last time I checked. I like this lighter one, too. It’s half the weight of the model I was looking at.

The lithium batteries are pretty expensive.
