      Dave from PTFB

Has anybody heard from Dave of PTFB fame ? I ordered a full suspension package for my 77 camaro from him way back in July and only heard from Dave last month saying my order was next to go out , as of today no emails , phone calls or my skid load of parts. Thanks - Jim Szamski

      Dave from PTFB

Just an update , I talked to Dave on the phone late Dec. 2024 says my parts were next to go out , as of today 1-20-25 still no delivery and now his mailbox is full and no recent posts on his Facebook page , is Dave sick ? Has anyone else had these issues with PTFB Suspensions , I went with Dave because everyone says he has the best parts for older F bodies , any help will be appreciated .
      Thanks - Jim Szamski

I placed an order with Dave back in June or July. Ordered his "True coilover kit", upper and lower control arms, and his blade type front anti swaybar. I received the upper control arms and the true coilover kit. Although, I feel it's not quite complete. I'll figure it out. I have called him, emailed him...nothing; not a word.

Hmmm... I called the number on Dave's website this morning and he picked up on the second ring.

Well that's good news. He's still in business. I'll give him a call. The number you posted matches what i have. Did you place an order? Last time I spoke with him he needed to weld together the blade type anti-sway bars.

Why do yall play this game with these companies. These same complaints have been on these forums for years! Y’all create your own pain by still buying?

You have Hotchkis, DSE, Global West, SpeedTech etc.

I am pretty sure Dave is alone, maybe 1 other guy?

July to January is a pretty far jump so by no means am I trying to make an excuse for him, but just stay on him constantly and you'll get your stuff!

I have most of his products. Let me ask you something or anyone that reads this; which lower control arms will work with PTFB upper control arms (for coilovers)? I ask because the PTFB upper arms have built-in features. Whereas, ridetech lower arms do not. Ballpoint angle???

Guys have been complaining about PTFB for years. I would never send him a dime. Same goes for iimuch and modern classic interiors. I don’t care how good their stuff is.

I didn’t even think PTFB quality was great. That’s the reason why I dumped the parts and moved on. PTFB parts work and they are cheaper and that’s what the appeal is. Moving on to Hotchkis and DSE and see that welds can look nice, parts do look engineered…maybe over engineered and power coating doesn’t have bubbles or other defects. The best part, they are on shelves at major retailers…if you have an issue, a replacement is only days away.

I posted a pic years ago comparing the Hotchkis arm vs the PTFB arm and night and day difference. Much larger tubing, larger bushing area, billet cross shafts, precisely tig welded, precisely bent tube over simple bends and welded together. Now you can argue these features don’t make an arm perform better, but they certainly make you feel you got what you paid for and there is more confidence in them.
