Custom center console for 67 Camaro

What is the average time to build a custom center console for a 67 Camaro from fiberglass, to be painted body color, and have carbon fiber inserts on top, with holes for the trans-tunnel mounted e-brake, shifter, 2 cup holders, 4 switch window control and a mount for a stereo head unit between the console and the center dash? What would good, quality work run, (on average) for something like this? I have heard quotes from $900-$4000. Does that mean $2000 is reasonable? Just wondering what you guys have paid, or would be willing to pay for something like this. Thanks for any info you can provide.

that seems very high for a custom console. If you want to save yourself some money and get it the way you want it, do it yourself and save some cash. I would make a cardboard template and tape it up. Remove it, and go to work. A lot of guys use wood to build consoles, and fiberglass over the shell. Fiberglass work is very easy, just a little time involved.

Time wise: hard to say. 25-30 hours

Sounds really steep. You could do most of the basic design work with wood and get someone to do the finishing touches in fibreglass, drive the price down a bit.
