      Foot well lighting hack!

The other day reinstalled passenger side kick panel, had already pulled bulb for convenience but then noticed my dome light stayed on, turns out the bulb single filament bulb wire was grounding out. Wasn't the first time this had happen so finally decided to swap out antiquated set up for dual wire L.E.D. Well as luck would have it found a bulb with rubber grommet that is the exact fit for the stock bulb mount under dash which doubles as ground since wire is constant hot. Added benefit was no longer a holt bulb burning my self when digging under dash. Here is the ones I used, amazon has them for 8.99., just ground one to the bracket and bullet connectors for the hot and done. Also fit MOST 1959-79 GM CARS. Great find, thanks. I ordered a set and will install a couple in the trunk as well for extra lighting.

wouldn't be a bad idea to put in trunk at all, would have to add a pin switch or maybe even a hidden toggle.

We've been using these LEDs at the shop I'm helping out at. The warm white color is perfect. Use the smaller lights in the legs of the front seats to light up the rear footwell, the larger in the dash to light up the front footwells.
