      1967 nova front clips

Hello I’m about to start a new project a 1967 nova and I’m in the beginning. I will not be auto crossing the car but I will be driving it often and im shooting for 800rwhp ish area … I want it to perform well like a new modern vehicle high speed etc .. I might take it to a drag strip but not my big thing I just want a car that drives like my e63amg or something like that it needs to stop well , corner and lots of power … with this in mind am I going to notice the difference between a DSE front clip to say a TCI pro touring front clip …speedtech has anyone used there system? or what front suspension is recommended? Ide like to hear opinions please

Church boy racing is also a good option for the early Nova. I wouldn't rule out a full frame for what you're looking to accomplish.

You mean a 1967 Chevy II...

Back in 1972, I drove a friends 66 Chevy II he put a 360 horse 327 from a demolished 62 Corvette, a close ratio Muncie with a narrowed 1962 Pontiac Catalina 3.90 posi rear end.

Man was that a serious bunch of car!!!

The Church Boys Racing front clip is very nice. They use the DSE downbars, fender closeouts, and steering rack - in my opinion it has a much nicer appearance than the TCI front clip. We are using it on our 63 wagon project, I need to get a build thread started. I am very happy with CBR's stuff and would recommend it.

Functionally, the TCI stuff has all had great reviews from what I've seen. I just didn't like the industrial look of the engine compartment.

DSE is always top notch, but you certainly pay the DSE tax. Their rear suspension is pretty intensive to install. On the front clip, their LS headers are like $2600, and I've seen mixed results on using other headers with it. I described it to someone else this way... DSE designed a outstanding suspension and wants you to make other compromises for that performance (e.g., more fab time, subframe connectors through floor, rear upper control arm points into the seat area, cutting out part of trunk floor, special headers). Church Boys and TCI looked at the Nova constraints and worked within the existing envelope to do the best they could with the space they have.
