The Pro Touring style seems to have evolved into two different classes over time, Pro Touring and Resto Mods. The Pro Touring cars incorporate chassis and suspension upgrades designed and built to improve handling and performance which in turn produces the look based on function. Resto Mod cars go for the PT "look" but don't incorporate the chassis or suspension upgrades needed to improve handling. These two classes also have two very different kinds of owners. Pro Touring owners tend to prefer track days, Resto Mod owners tend to prefer car shows. Neither one is better than the other they are just different mind sets and that is the beauty of our car hobby, it has something for everyone.
