Hello everyone, my Name is Mark Sutton and I love building cars. Currently I build hot rods and restore old cars at a shop in Garland Texas. Wilson Auto Repair is where I work as a welder/fabricator so I do a lot of rust repair. We have about 35 cars in process at any given time. I just started a '55 Chevy convertible going on an Art Morrison chassis with a new LS3 motor and Tremec 6 speed. The car will need about 70% of the metal replaced. We also have quite a few Mustangs and Broncos in various stages of build. My personal toy is a '96 Miata I am building with all new suspension and brakes. I just added a Speeduino ECM and have started tuning with the original motor. My plan is to build a fresh motor with a turbo. Fabrication is what I enjoy most, design and engineering. When I was a teenager a friend gave me a ride in a new Jaguar XKE and I learned it was more fun to pull G's in the turns than on the straight away. I've been a road car guy all my life, but I love anything with a motor. I look forward to sharing my projects and seeing what others have done in the club.

      Welcome to the site Mark!

Can't wait to see your '55 project. I have a 4 door that I am working on.

Just getting started on the 55 Chevy. After seeing that the body would have to be rebuilt the owner said "so I bought a dash for $130K" Sad but true. the car looked great at the auction, This is typical of so many cars people buy without a good inspection.
Now it sits on an Art Morrison chassis with new LS motor and 6 speed tranny. It will slowly come back to life with all new metal.Name: Floorpan.jpg
