      Intro - Leukemia Tribute Pro Touring Build

      My son Peter Jr and I are embarking on a Pro Touring build as tribute to him going into remission on his Leukemia. It will be built with those colors in mind. He is a full time student at FIU inspiring to be a Mechanical Engineer.

      The Plans for this build are:
      White paint
      All Black trimming
      Orange accents and Cancer ribbons on fender and Tailgate
      LS engine
      4L60E trans.
      Disc brakes
      20in staggered wheels
      Modern bucket seats

      Major inspiration for the project Came from Mel's Desert Eagle El Camino from 80z Babiez Car Club

      LQ9 Block bored and honed 0.020 over
      Cut Stock crank 0.010 under
      Stock replacement pistons bored 0.020 over
      Stock rods with new bolts
      Brian Tooley Racing Stage 3 N/A Cam .631/.615 231°/244° 112.5+2.5 LSA
      Morel M7717 Lifters
      BTR Valve springs 0.660
      New Lifter Trays
      Timing Chain Set JP5623T



      Need to be installed
      LS9 Gasket
      ARP Head Bolts
      Timing Chain Cover (Front)

      Holley Terminator Max Stealth
      Fuel system
      Pulley system
      Cooling system.

      As a fellow G-Body owner and Leukemia survivor (32 years in remission) I approve . Congrats to your son and good luck with the build.

      Thanks for the welcome guys. We have a lot of work to do and I will be using the forums to my advantage for help with the build. I'm sure everyone has dealt with their own struggles building their cars.
