      72 firebird front coils

hi..... fitted the lowering springs that came with the car (not sure what they are as no part numbers)...about an inch lower than the old ones but still about 1 1/2 inches higher than i would like..
do I cut 1/2 a coil or replace the isolators with cut heater hose??

Cutting a coil will increase the spring rate. Swapping the spacer would lower the car without changing the spring rate. I would try that first.

You could just eliminate the isolators.
