      Seam sealer / primer question

The builder of my 67 C10 used body filler instead of seam sealer around the inside of the rain gutter. This eventually cracked & let some moisture in. I have cleaned that all out & removed the paint about 2" from the rain gutter. I may or may not use a rust treatment and wash before my next steps. My plan is to epoxy prime & then seam seal this area. I would like to then spray a high build over the area to make feathering into the existing paint easier. Will the high build primer end up cracking where it is over seam sealer?

Seam sealer in that application is usually done just before final sealer is applied prior to base coat. I would not apply high build primer over seam sealer.

The two part seam sealers are the best option.

Many epoxy primers should not be applied over acid based rust treatments without properly neutralizing it. Poor adhesion is the risk. I would use a small spot blaster instead of an acid treatment.
