69 camaro Center AC vent question

      Non ac car.
not using the vintage air supplied center vent.
      purchased a repro from NPD.

      the two mounting screws…….
do they screw into the dash pad?

Or is there a bracket that extends from the dash?
I’ve searched here and google and a few other forums.
can not seem to find what I’m looking for.

      thank you

It mounts to the metal dash. The holes should be there.

Cutting what? Do you not have an AC dash pad? You need an AC dash pad to make the factory vent work.

      You didn't answer my question.

The OE AC vent screws into the pad with clips.

I actually looked through that post 😆

the pic links are all broken. I just read along.

below, I installed a repro gm vent with a non-ac dash pad.

Thé vintage air vent is nice enough, but doesn’t have any grain on the plastic and the 4 screws look cheesey to me.

I’m happy with this till I buy a AC dash pad

      Thanks for your help

Sorry. I guess it’s been too long since I built a 69 Camaro. My bad….
